The Future of Robotics

The Future of RoboticsEnergy and mechanics are the vital ingredients to robotics, and the addition of technology has created an entirely new realm of possibilities. There are many interesting facts about robotics, and many that you probably didn’t know. For example, there is a robot scientist who believes humans will be actively engaging in sexual relationships with robots within the next four years! Another scientist believes that robots will have their own species by the year 2040, which means that there could be an entire population of robots with artificial intelligence living and adapting on their own, without any intervention from human beings.

These ideas are not just proposals for fantasy futures, they are realistic possibilities within the realm of robotics. MIT has a media lab where they are making robot personal by developing a computer with a head and neck, that can actively respond and react to the emotional cues of others. This type of advancement in computer programming will allow robots to start fulfilling needs for human beings that are much more complex than the physical tasks they were completing before. A computer would be able to console a human being.

There are scientists in Australia developing robots as small as e.coli cells which mimic the way these cells swim around. Those robots could have tiny cameras that would allow scientists to see how biology works at a cellular level. The knowledge that robots could bring to humans is incredible, and the benefits of robots in the lives of humans are endless. They could be used to heal humans in a way that was never accessible before, extending the human lifespan even longer than what has been accomplished in the past 1000 years.

Robotics allows for precision, excellence and power. They use computers and mechanics to advance our current society. Human evolution is starting to rely on the ability to integrate robotics into our daily lives.
